Leo Soto

March 18, 1925 — July 7, 2020

Soto, Leo, age 95 of Miamisburg passed away peacefully at his home on July 7, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Eusebio and Theresa (Castro) Soto. He worked for many years in the Dayton and surrounding area in construction as a drywall hanger. Leo was very handy and enjoyed repairing cars and at one time had his own TV repair shop, there wasn't much he couldn't fix. Leo always enjoyed traveling, he was content sitting and looking at the lake in Tennessee, traveling to Chicago and also made it a point to make the trip to Florida and California to visit family. He loved life, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his family dearly. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Gladys (Fuller) Soto, his son Mick Soto, his siblings Lydia Godinez, Joe Soto, Carmen Daily, Evelyn Bocanegra, Tom Soto, and Sam Soto. He is survived by his children Patt Merritt, Darlene (Mike) Morris, Cyndi Soto, Joey (Misty) Soto, and Terressa (Guy) Webb, grandchildren Keli Fisher, Kris Soto, Angie Geiger, Chad, Todd and Tony Morris, Zach, Nick and Cody Warmoth, Kristin Gill, Kyle, Gabriella, Ellianna Soto, Cody and Cory McQueen, Dylan Clark, Taylor, Caleb, Baylie and Gavin Webb, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. In the words of Leo, that were spoken at every goodbye "Hasta La Vista".

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service for the family only will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00am at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29  N Main St.  Germantown OH  45327 with Father Civille officiating, and assisted by Richard Kerth.  Inurnment to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg.

There will be a celebration of life for Leo on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00am at Germantown United Methodist Church.
