Charles Lansaw

March 5, 1927 — February 29, 2020

Lansaw, Charles Ray, age 92 of Germantown passed away February 29, 2020 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born in Middletown, OH to the late Edward and Lura (Tyra) Lansaw and graduated from Monroe High School. After High School, Ray joined the US Navy during WWII, after his service he attended Miami Oxford from 1947-1948 and the University of Cincinnati 1949-1951. Ray retired from the Dupps Company after 35 years and after his retirement he was self employed as a Rendering Contractor. He was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church, was a lifetime member of the Germantown Rotary and a past Germantown Lion's Club member. He loved woodworking, boat building, sailing, playing tennis and was a very charitable man. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Gail Chmielewski, and his sisters Ruby Evans and Phyllis Smith. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joan (Kalbaugh) Lansaw, his son Charles Edward Lansaw, daughters Leslie Brooks and Kristi Speck, grandchildren Eric Lansaw, Deanie Carlstrom, Courteney Huff, Ava Speck, Jack Speck, great grandchildren Steven Berry, Maddie Carlstrom, Tyler Kenyon, Jacob Lansaw, Sophia Carlstrom, Kelsey Huff, and his brother Larry Lansaw. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Germantown United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 11:00am-1:00pm.
