Audra Current

February 24, 1951 — January 22, 2021

Current, Audra Lynn, age 69 of West Alexandria passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Dayton OH to the late Walter and Shirley (Boxwell) Kline, graduated from Miamisburg High School, and was a member of First Brethren Church of Gratis. Audra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and was loved by every member of her family. Doug and Audra have been together since becoming sweethearts in 6th grade and blessed with 51 years of marriage. Doug was faithfully by her side as she battled cancer for 11 years. She loved her family and God above all else. Audra had a kind, loving heart and was always helping others and she was known for her contagious smile and joyful spirit. She loved serving at her church in numerous rolls and activities, but she especially had a heart for Shoebox Ministries and the Gratis Community Vacation Bible School. Audra also enjoyed traveling to tractor shows with her husband and crocheting blankets for her grandbabies. Along with her parents, Audra was preceded in death by her grandson Aaron McWilliams, her brothers Gary Kline and Michael Boxwell, her in laws Harold and Doris Current, and her brother-in-law Don Arney. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Douglas Current, her daughters Annette (Kenneth) McWilliams, Tonya (Jason) Norris, her grandchildren Kaylynn (Adam) Martin, Kenny (Ady) McWilliams, Karolynn McWilliams, Harold McWilliams, Riley (Megan) Blair-Current, Bailey Blair, and Shelby Norris who is currently serving in the US Navy, also survived by her great grandchildren Sophie, Lucas and Savannah Martin, Octavia McWilliams, Payton, Marshall, and Remington Blair-Current, one great-granddaughter on the way, due in May, and her sister Sharon Arney.

**There will be a Celebration of Life date announced for the end of February.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to 1st Brethren Church- Gratis, PO Box 855 Gratis, OH 45330 with Audra's name on the memo line. Any funds donated will be divided between Operation Christmas Child and the Gratis Fellowship Community of Churches Vacation Bible School.
