Virginia Peters

October 14, 1918 — March 4, 2012

Virginia (Keister) Peters age 93 of Middletown, OH passed away March 4, 2012 at Hospice of Butler & Warren County.  She has been wanting to "be gone" for a very long time and she is now with her husband, daughter and son, as well as many other of her loved ones who have passed before her. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Harriet (Darragh) Keister—Brothers Wilbur, James, Frederick and sister Ruby (Keister) Carpenter—husband Robert L Peters, daughter Beverly A. Peters and son Robert (Larry) Peters—she is survived by a daughter Sally Sue Peters of Miamisburg, OH. Virginia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family was so very important to her—as well as her many friends at Trinity Manor in Middletown where she has resided for the past 13 years. She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her because of her love of all kinds of needle work, doing different crafts, taking care of flowers inside as well as outside of her home. She also loved homemade ice cream—the kind you take turns turning the crank to make. She worked hard to teach her 3 children about love and respect for all people of all walks of life, nationalities and beliefs. It was so very important to her that her children know Jesus by her insistence as they were growing up and even when they became adults to attend church and be active in all of a churches activities. Virginia was a very devoted and active member for many years of the former EUB Church on Baltimore & Philadelphia Street in Middletown, OH that eventually became Faith UM Church. Because of health issues in her later years The Crystal Cathedral, Joel Osteen Ministries and the Gather Gospel Shows on TV became her connection with Jesus and his teachings. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 8, 2012 at the Germantown Union Cemetery. Arpp & Root Funeral Home in Germantown, OH will be handling all arrangements. When you see a butterfly—she so loved butterflies or have a great meal at The Olive Garden—her favorite restaurant—than remember her for the loving and good person she STRIVED to be.
