Thomas Everett “TEE” Evans, 81, of Germantown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 20, 1945, Tom grew up in Lebanon, Ohio, and spent much of his life in Mississippi and the Germantown area. He built a successful career as a skilled tool maker, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. After many years of dedicated service, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity. Tom had a lifelong passion for automobiles and motorsports. He especially enjoyed Mustangs, Corvettes, drag racing, and spending time around cars and fellow enthusiasts. Whether attending races, talking cars with friends, or admiring a well-built engine, Tom found great joy in the automotive world. He also enjoyed playing euchre and being fawned over by the ladies of the senior center. He enjoyed a good beer , even though he “didn’t drink”..and he also enjoyed a good piece of carrot cake from Kettering Hospital, even though he “didn’t eat sweets. ”He always got your attention with a constant bump on the arm….and then would proceed to talk your ear off and he was never at a loss for words.
He was a proud member of the Franklin VFW, the Germantown Eagles, Southbrook Christian Church, Germantown Senior Center and the West Carrollton YMCA. Through these organizations, he formed many lasting friendships and remained active in his community.
Tom is survived by his children, Chad (Jennifer), Kasey (Jeff), and Tracie; his pride & joy his grandchildren, Katie (Mike), Brianna (Nikia) & Parker “Parkerman”; his great-grandchildren, Michael, Scarlett, Sunny, River, and Willow; and his siblings, Roger and Nancy. He is also survived by his nieces and his favorite nephew, Chancey, and his close friends, Tom Baker, Diane, Elaine, Helen and a host of many other friends.
Tom was preceded in death by wife, Sandy; son, Shane; mother Mary Ellen; father, Evan; brothers, Richard & Rodney. Tom will be remembered for his dedication to family, his love of cars and racing, his sense of humor, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
Tom spent many years battling a chronic illness but never let it keep him down. He continued to live his life and “run the streets.”
A special thank you to Hospice of Dayton for the wonderful care they provided. He really enjoyed visits from his Case Manager Angela H! There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 3:00pm at the VFW Post 7596, 422 S. Main St. Franklin, OH
To sum up Tom's life:
“And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance” - Garth Brooks
