Taylor Martin, age 28, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away on January 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with a lifelong illness of Cystic Fibrosis. Taylor was born on July 9, 1997, to Drew Martin and Rita Glossip, who raised her in Farmersville, Ohio.
Taylor graduated from Valley View High School in 2016, where she excelled athletically and academically. Taylor’s Spartan Pride was unmatched, and her love of her community was represented each time she stepped onto a court or field. She faced each competition with the same determination that she faced CF with for all 28 years of her life. She loved her classmates and her core group of friends, many of whom she has continued to have close friendships with since elementary school.
Taylor was known for her infectious laughter and high-energy spirit. She could put a smile on your face in an instant with her witty humor, her professional-level impersonations, and her insatiable desire to have a good time. She also fiercely loved and cared for her people, and loved it even more when they gathered for any occasion, especially over the 4th of July holiday at Norris Lake. Taylor also took great pride in being an advocate for others with CF.
Taylor lived life to the fullest, and then she told the best stories about her adventures with all the details that brought the experiences to life. She could also be found quietly reading a book on the lake, taking in the quiet moments as the boat peacefully swayed on the water that she so loved.
Taylor was preceded in death by her grandpa, James “Poppy” Glossip, her “Grandma Janet” Vice, and her uncle Robert Glossip.
Taylor leaves behind a family that she absolutely cherished. Her love and gratitude for their unwavering support and care was abundant. Taylor is survived by her mother, Rita Glossip (Casey Garrison); her father, Drew Martin (Cathy Miller); her grandmother, Pam “Nangia” Glossip; her grandparents, Drew “Pa” and “Grammie Sue” Martin; her sister, Tory (Joey) Sturgill; her niece and nephews, Adiley, Easton, and Greyson Sturgill; her life-long best friend, Mel McIntosh; aunt and uncle, Mark and Dawn Martin; and her cousins, Corey (Mindy and family) Million, Troy (Lacey and family) Martin, and Matthew Martin and family; her aunt, Cathy (Dave) Ernst; and her cousins, Hunter and Nicholas Ernst.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 5-7pm at Community Harvest Church, 6970 Weaver Rd., Germantown OH, followed by a funeral service beginning at 7:00PM.
