Steven Gau

Gau, Steven E., age 54 of Farmersville passed away at his home on Friday, April 8, 2016.  He was born September 22, 1961 in Dayton, OH to Sue (Ross) Braden, and the late Virgil E. Gau.  Steve served on the Germantown Police Department from 1983-1984, the Butler Township Police Department from 1984-1988, and the Miamisburg Police Department from 1988 until his retirement in 2015.  He was also a member of the Warren County FOP Lodge and a member of the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene.  Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his step father Bill Braden and his mother in law Karen Hicks.  Steve is survived by his wife of 24 years, Leann (Puterbaugh) Gau, his daughter Sarah Gau, his mother Carolyn “Sue” Braden, father in law Tim Hicks; sister in laws Elizabeth (Rob) Bowe, and Lacey (Dave) Thompson; 2 nephews Jud and Eli Bowe, and 2 nieces Lily and Chloe Thompson.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm St. at 11:00am, with Pastor Bryan Heil officiating.  Interment immediately following at Highland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and also on Tuesday April 12, from 4:00-8:00pm at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vitas Hospice, 3055 Kettering Blvd #400, Moraine, OH 45439.
