Ralph Theiss

Ralph Eugene Theiss, age 78 of Germantown passed away  Sunday April 20, 2014 at Kingston of Miamisburg. He was born February 15, 1936 in Dayton, OH to parents John Robert and Lena Katherine (Bailey) Theiss. He graduated from the old Germantown High School then went to work for McCalls Publishing Co., later known as the Dayton Press, where he retired after 18 years of service. After retirement he lived 2 years in Phoenix AZ, returning to Germantown to family and friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Thomas Theiss of Miami, FL; a daughter Tracy (Marvin) Combs of Hillsboro, OH;  2 grandchildren Kasey (Ernie) Young and Jeremy Combs; 2 great grand children Kaleb Young and Kaden Combs. Also surviving are brothers, Robert L.(Jane) Theiss of Carson City, NV; Melvin R Theiss of Glendale, AZ; Carl W. (Sandra) Theiss of Middletown and John W. (Gloria) Theiss of Santa Maria, CA: a sister Doris Eldridge of Glendale, AZ. Also a special aunt Betty Richey of Germantown. Graveside memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Germantown Union Cemetery. Arrangements by Arpp & Root Funeral Home Germantown.
