Phil contributed greatly to the Amateur Radio Community. I heard him many times and talked to him in the late eighties on the KMCARA repeater systems in Dayton under his old callsign KA8KEJ.

I offer my sympathy and condolences to his family. I will keep everyone in prayer during this difficult time.

Those of us at Amateur Radio Newsline will miss Phil's enthusiasm and love for ham radio. As editor of ARNewsline, I had the privilege of many wonderful conversations with Phil on the phone. He was a good man who cared deeply about making his contributions to the world and he is already missed. May he find peace.
