Patricia Ann Hamilton, age 89, passed away at home on April 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to her family and quiet strength with an enduring faith in her Lord and Savior. She was born on October 11, 1936 to Herbert and Winona Snead. Patricia shared an extraordinary 69-year marriage with her husband Sam Hamilton a testament to a lifetime of commitment, partnership and deep affection. Together they built a family rooted in love and support.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Winona Snead, her sisters June Steeley and Deanna Davis. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Hamilton, her sons Glenn (Susan) Hamilton, Kenneth (Rebecca Oxendine-Mangold) Hamilton and Scott (Debra) Hamilton, her sisters Susan Benner and Joan (Lucky) Wilson, her beloved grandchildren and great grandsons as well as extended family and numerous nephews and nieces. She was a devoted wife and mother to her three sons whom she raised with care, patience and dedication. Her role as a mother and wife was central to her life, and she took great pride in her family. She was a gifted quilter, seamstress and gardener. She found joy in creating and nurturing whether through her quilting, her skillful sewing or the abundant produce from her garden. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandsons who brought her immense happiness.
Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life was a quiet but powerful example of love, loyalty and grace.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 10:30am – 12:00pm at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. Funeral services begin at noon, burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.
