Loyd King

King, Loyd E., age 88 of Carlisle passed away December 15, 2016 at Carlisle Manor.  Loyd was born to the late Charles and Sara (Cope) in Mt. Vernon, KY, was a lifelong member of Oasis Church in Middletown where he was very involved with the Children’s Ministry and also drove the church bus.  He retired from GM Delco Moraine where he worked as a truck driver for 28 years.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Larson) King and daughter Roxanne Wright.  He is survived by his brothers Johnny (Rachel) King and Charlie King of Mt. Vernon, KY and his sister Alice Lawson of Miamisburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held Monday December 19, 2016 at 10:00am at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, Pastor Timothy Sheets officiating.  Burial immediately following at Highland Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Ministry at the Oasis Church in memory of Loyd.
