Lloyd Ridenour

Lloyd Ridenour, age 84 of Germantown, OH passed away at his home on December 22, 2023. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Eugene and Maude (DeGroat) Ridenour. Lloyd retired from Montgomery Soil and Water Conservation District, where he worked as a soil and water technician. Lloyd was one of the best, well respected technicians in the United States, when they sent him to training classes, he usually ended up doing the training. Lloyd was also a self taught electrician and could build about anything, he even built his own television once! Lloyd is survived by numerous cousins and extended family members including Dale and Cathy DeGroat and Ben (Michelle) DeGroat and their families who helped care for him and his farm. There will be a visitation at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown, OH on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 from 10-11am, funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Andy Powell officiating. Burial immediately following at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH. Becuase of Lloyds passion for soil and water, the family suggests donations be made to the Montgomery Soil and Water District, 10025 Amity Rd, Brookville, OH 45309 in memory of Lloyd.
