Joseph T. Tritt

Joseph T. Tritt, born November 18, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly from an accident on July 31, 2026, in Germantown, Ohio. His passing marks the end of a life filled with deep connections, accomplishment, and the love of family and community.

Joe was a proud graduate of Germantown High School, class of 1967, attended Miami University in Oxford, and retired from Kohl's.

Throughout his life, Joe enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Germantown Eagles, serving as both a bartender and a longtime secretary. 

Outside of work, he was a loyal Cincinnati Bengals fan, and enjoyed following their seasons with unflagging spirit. He enjoyed fishing at the Germantown Dam and Lake Erie. Music was a big part of his life, especially bluegrass, which he both played and sang with heartfelt enthusiasm, and he loved his 4 legged pets.

Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Tritt; his daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Stacy; his son, Brian Stamper; his grandchildren: Jacob Eby, Sydney Eby, Kristian Beal, Josiah Stacy, and Caitlin; as well as his sisters, Linda McGuire and Kimberly (Daryl) Phelps. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tritt; his mother, Nina Mae Huffer; and his brother, Jeff Tritt.

Joe will be remembered for his quiet spirit, love for family, and steadfast friendships. His legacy carries on in the stories, music, and love he shared with so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
