John Farley, Jr.

November 1, 1956 — June 19, 2021

John Patrick Farley, Jr., age 64 of Dayton passed away at Soin Medical Center after a lengthy illness on June 19, 2021. He was born in Dayton, OH to the late John and Rosiena (McGee) Farley. John loved his dogs, and before medical issues slowed him down, he worked for the City of Dayton and enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew Jamie Farley in 2019. John is survived by his brothers Eugene (Rebecca), Bernie, Jim (Beth), and Terry Farley, his longtime and best friend, Gary Flatt, his girlfriend Shelba Jean Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends. There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 5:00PM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 4:00PM.

**NOTE REGARDING MEMORIAL TREES**  Please note if you order a memorial tree for the family there is no way to find out where the tree is planted or a photo of the memorial plaque.  We have tried to get this removed from our website but unable to do so at this time.
