Jeffrey Troutt

On May 11, 2025, the world dimmed a little when we lost Jeffery Troutt, a man whose laughter and spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 24, 1966, Jeff brightened the lives of those around him from an early age. A proud graduate of Valley View High School, class of 1984, he embarked on a remarkable journey through life, distinguished by his unwavering dedication to family and his passion for adventure.

Jeff worked as a truck driver over many years, navigating the highways and byways with the same zest for life he brought to every aspect of his being. Known for his outgoing personality, he had an extraordinary gift for making others laugh. His playful humor was infectious, creating a bond of warmth and joy that resonated not just with friends, but more importantly, with his beloved family.

A veteran of the US Army, Jeff served his country with pride, embodying a spirit of sacrifice and dedication that further enriched his character. Alongside his commitment to his family and his work, he found solace and excitement in the digital realms of video games, showcasing his zest for competition and leisure in equal measure.

At the heart of Jeffery's existence was his family—his friends would tell you that nothing brought him greater joy than the laughter and happiness of his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind his treasured daughters, Christina Troutt, Amanda Troutt, Jessica Troutt, and Tiffany (Ricky) Davis, who have all been touched by his boundless love and unwavering support. Additionally, he is survived by his son, Andrew Troutt, a reflection of his spirit and values, and his cherished grandchildren, Lythium, Cobain, Gavin, Logan, Liam, Stevie, and Bentley, who will remember their grandfather fondly, as a man who brought cheer and adventure into their lives.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Joyce Troutt, and his sister, Linda (Jeff) Reedy, both of whom are forever grateful for the memories they created with him.

Though he is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Troutt, and his brother, James Troutt, their love and influence remain an integral part of Jeffery's tapestry.

Jeffery's passing came unexpectedly, leaving a void that echoes with the laughter and light he shared throughout his life. As we say goodbye, let us honor the man who lived passionately, loved deeply, and brought joy to those around him. In our memories, Jeff will forever remain a beacon of joy, reminding us to embrace life with humor and an open heart.
