Jeanne Lamb, a devoted wife, minister, and cherished family woman, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at the Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. Born on November 9, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, Jeanne lived a life marked by quiet devotion, kindness, and a deep love for her family.
Jeanne graduated from Germantown High School in 1966 before pursuing further education at Sinclair Community College, Antioch College, and United Seminary. Her commitment to her faith and community led her to serve as a minister of a church in Minnesota for a brief period. Following her ministry, she continued her vocation by working at a pulpit supply service, serving the spiritual needs of many.
Known as a private and simple woman, Jeanne carried herself with humility and warmth. She was deeply loved by her family, who remember her as a beacon of quiet strength and kindness. Her unwavering faith and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, James Deeter; her daughter, Mikel Abner; son, James Deeter, Jr.; her brothers, Jim and Scott; and her sisters, Kay and Terri Ann. She also leaves behind two beloved grandsons, Xanon Abner and Gabriel Abner, along with numerous extended family members who hold her memory dear. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Lamb and Arzella (Back) Suprenner, and her son Michael B. Deeter, sisters Patsy and Marjorie, and brothers Marcus Lamb.
In her passing, Jeanne went home to be with her Lord and Savior, a transition marked by peace and grace. Her legacy of faith, simplicity, and love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and all whose lives she touched. The family will hold a private burial at Germantown Union Cemetery per Jeanne's wishes.
