Florence Root

Florence M.Root,  age 92 formerly of Brookville passed away at Hillspring Nursing Home, Springboro on November 10, 2011.  She was born on October 7th, 1919 to the late Lewis and Edna  (Heistand) Cunningham. She was a retired secretary for the Dayton Public School System.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, grandson Wesley Root, brother Leroy (Bud) Cunningham, sisters Orpha S. Mcgriff and Mary Peck.  Florence is survived by her daughter Jennifer Kromer of Brookville and son Jay (Carol) Root of Germantown, grandson Nick Kromer of California and great granddaughter Rachel Root of Germantown, many nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday November 14th  at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 1830 W. Main Street, New Lebanon, Oh  with Pastor Bobbie Predmore officiating, burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, OH.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home,  29 N.
