Esther McElfresh

Esther M. McElfresh,  age 84 of Germantown passed away Sunday June 22, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Celina, OH the daughter of the late Hiram and Lillian Miesse. She was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church,  retired from Valley View High School, Elder-Beerman   and was a former Red Hatter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Perry Robert McElfresh. Survived by children Larry (Becky) McElfresh of Fremont; Dwight (Rita) McElfresh, of Ashland, Oh Diana (Jan) Watson of Miamisburg and Karen (Ken) Bass of Columbus; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday June 25, 2014 at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown with Pastor Gary Wheeler officiating . The family will receive friends 6:00 p..m. until time of service (2 hrs. prior)   Wednesday at the funeral home  If desired memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Germantown Fire/ E.M.S.
