Curtis Allen Shields, age 71 of Germantown passed away August 3, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Mabel (Schalk) and Silas Shields, as a 1965 Germantown Cardinals Classmate and a member of Clearcreek Chapel Church in Springboro. Curtis was a good, faithful, christian man who was always happy, loved his music and motorcycles. Curtis retired after nearly 20 years of teaching at Middletown Christian Schools. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Carmen Shields, his grandchildren David Perkins and David Inman, and his first wife Ronnee (Tufts) Shields. Curtis is survived by his children Curt (Gail) Shields, Susie (Rick) McGill, Tracy Shields (Rick Schuyler), Tommy Shields, Charles (Marcia) Shields, Jonathan Shields, and Charles & Jonathan's mother Debra Gray, also his grandchildren Joseph Perkins, Mike, Morgan and Nick McGill, Doug Shields (CD2), Debbie Inman, Lilly and Lylah Blackson, Heather and Nikki Schuyler, Emily, Cailyn, and Waylon Shields, his brothers Charles Shields, Warren (Calvin) Shields and wife Ruthann, Jeff (Clyde) Shields and wife Barb, and numerous extended family and dear friends. Curtis never knew a stranger was was grateful to God for everything and everyone, he will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. Funeral services will be Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00AM at the Arpp, Root & Carter Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown, interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery with Pastor Jason Brodehl officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 6:00PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
