Brenda Faye (Bufton) Lucas, age 78, passed away in her sleep at New Lebanon OH Rehab and Health Care following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Brenda was an optimistic, fun loving, and caring lover of life. Everyone that knew her will miss her ever ready smile, and how much she loved to laugh. Brenda was born in Springfield MA to the late Duglas and Opal (Cooper) Bufton. She graduated from White Plains NY High School, toured the USA with former husband Glenn (Gail) Lucas before settling in Vermilion, OH where they raised their children Michael (Kathleen) and Michelle, followed by 25 years living in Florida.
Brenda is survived by sisters Barbara (Donald) Maxcy, Susan (Ronald) Baldy, sister-in-law Alyson (Dale) Shelton, granddaughter Sophia, nieces and nephews Deborah Maxcy, Diane (Steve) DeNigris, Denise Maxcy, Darcey (Ron) Jones, David (Lori) Baldy, Russ (Lisa) Woodward, June McCallister, Karen (Parris) Weidenbach, Kelly (William) Weaver, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Joann Woodward, brothers in law Donald Maxcy and Ronald Baldy, and nephew Andrew Shelton. Private services are planned.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to SICSA of Dayton (sicsa.org) or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org.)
