Bill Boyer

Bill Boyer, age 80 of Farmersville, OH passed away January 19, 2024 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born in Dayton, OH to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Izor) Boyer, graduated from Farmersville High School, class of 1961, and was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Bill was employed at Dayton Press for 25 years and then Reynolds and Reynolds for 15 years before retiring from Kettering Hospital in 2009. Bill was an elder at Farmersville United Church of Christ, was a volunteer on the Farmersville Fire Department for 25 years, and loved sports of all kinds, especially softball. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert "Bud" Boyer, and Ralph Boyer. Bill is survived by his wife Linda (Long) Boyer, his children Brent (Cheryl) Osborn, and Barbara (Jeff) Shrout, his beloved grandchildren Eric and Dustin Osborn, Logan, Brooklyn and Peyton Shrout, and his brother Richard Boyer. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4-6pm at the Farmersville United Church of Christ, 42 S. Broadway St. Farmersville OH. A funeral service will follow beginning at 6:00PM with Pastor Susan Hartman officiating.
