Betty R. Heeter

Betty Rose Heeter, while surrounded by family, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.  She was 89 years old and lived in Carlisle, OH.  Betty was born in Arkansas to the late Hiram and Marie Cole.  She graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1954 and retired from Monarch Marking Systems.  Betty loved her flowers and the outdoors.  She enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles, watching old movies and was a collector of many things, including dolls and Fenton glass.  Her favorite places to be were on a golf course, in Tennessee at Fairfield Glade, on a beach or on a cruise ship.  Her strong-minded, fearless, and competitive personality made her an unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew her.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Steve Heeter, and her high school sweetheart and husband of 65 years, George "Sonny" Heeter.  Betty is survived by her daughter Tanya (Ronnie) Tabor, grandchildren Ryan Tabor, Shawn Heeter, Jordan (Alex) Larison, great grandson's Landon and Colt Larison and extended family members and many lifelong dear friends.  There will be a private burial at Holp Cemetery in Farmersville, OH for the family.
