Sigrid Minge

Minge, Sigrid, age 83 of Germantown passed away October 24, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born to the late Stephen and Emma Jean (Morgan) Kalnai on April 4, 1932 in Middletown, OH.  Sigrid was loved by many and known for her never ending passion for reading, children, and volunteering.  She spent most of her time volunteering at the Germantown Library helping with crafts and reading, at Love is a Hug pre-school, and reading to children at Valley View Schools.  Sigrid was also involved in the Boy Scouts, and in planning of the Pretzel Festival in Germantown, as well as the Memorial Day and 4th of July festivities that took place.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband "Bill" William Minge.  She is survived by her son Mike Minge, and daughter Toni "Sissy" Cruze.

There will be a gathering of friends with a brief memorial service on November 21, 2015 at Monroe Methodist Church from 1:00-3:00.

toni sorry for the loss of your mother she was one of germantowns unique people.when she was out walking she would talk to every one and always had something nice to say. she was the good witch in all our lives. my thougts and prayers are with you, marvin and your brother. she will be missed by all who knew her

Siggy was not only my friend but my heart, she taught my the value of my creative side, how to clean and love the world.She embraced life and love and spread her wisdom and creativeness to all those around and that would listen!!!She dressed me up as Mary Poppins and a Fairy, I will never forgot our talks, walks, crafts and you my Siggy!You are forever embedded in my life, heart and mind!I love you forever and always!You made my growing in Germantown a life lesson filled with love and fun!You will be missed and you are in peace!
