Robert Emrick

September 4, 1934 — October 9, 2015

Emrick, Robert Lamar, age 81 of Farmersville, OH passed away October 9, 2015 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.  He was born on September 4, 1934 to the late Irvin and Gladys (Eddy) Emrick in Germantown, OH and was a member of Farmersville United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed RV Camping, was an Ohio and national member of FMCA & FCRV, and the Farmersville F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.  He was also involved with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years, and a foster parent for 89 children over 25 years. Robert retired from Bordon Dairy after 25 years and after retirement he worked for Ryder Trucking Company.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son Roger Emrick, son-in-law Karl Rabold, brothers Donald (Lois) and Mark Emrick, brother-in-law Raymond Lakes and his wife Patty Lakes; sister-in-law Sydney Howard.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Arlene (Wheeler) Emrick, daughters Betty Rabold and Renee (Gary) Michael, and son Larry (Renate) Emrick, his brother Gerald (Freda) Emrick, sister-in-laws Rheta Emrick and Judy Buehner, brother-in-laws Mike Howard and Ronnie (Madonna) Weaver, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  There will be a service of remembrance on Sunday, October 18 beginning at 1:00 with a gathering of friends to follow until 3:00 at the Farmersville United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Thie officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, Farmersville United Methodist Church, or the Farmersville Fire and EMS.
