Richard Dillon

Richard T. “Rick” Dillon, age 63, of Farmersville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home with his family after a 2 year valiant battle with cancer.  He was born to Carl Dillon (deceased) and Rosalind Mardis.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marilyn (Campbell); 3 children:  Courtney (Steve) Donson, Tyson DIllon, and Valerie (David, Jr.) Berner, and grandson Jonathon Donson.  Rick is also survived by his brother Terry (Alicia) Mardis, sister Bonie Holt, and brother Matthew Mardis.  Rick loved and valued his family and larger extended family.  He was an exceptionally devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.  Rick was member of Minerva Lodge #98 and Dayton Lodge #147, Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite, and Antioch Shrine.  He was Director Emeritis of the Antioch Mounted Patrol.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 2:00 pm at Arpp and Root Funeral Home in Germantown, Ohio.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with F&AM Services beginning at 1:00 p.m..  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Children’s Shrine Hospital, 107 E. First Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402 in Rick’s memory.
