Peggy Keister

Keister, Peggy Y., age 88 of Middletown passed away November 11, 2016 at the Atrium Medical Center.  She was born in Dayton, OH to the late George and Suda May (Campbell) Landrum.  Peggy was a member of Union Chapel Church where she was the president of 4F for over 20 years.  She was also a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout leader for many years.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Keister in 1987, son Harold, daughter in law Sandy  and a Great Grandson Jameson Stipp.  She is survived by her son James Robert (Becky) Keister, her 3 daughters Claudiea (Greg) Wombold, Kristine (Chester) Belue, Kathy (John) Stubbs, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N Main St.  Germantown with Reverend Dr. L.D. Ervin, Pastor officiating.  Interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donation can be made to the charity of your choice in Peggy’s memory.

We are so sorry to hear of Peggy's passing. What an amazing lady !We got to know Peggy quite well through 4F Club and she was the glue that held the group together for so many years.A wonderful example of a true Christian, she was kind and loving to everyone, with a great sense of humor.She was a special lady who always made an extra effort to make everyone feel welcome.4F stood for faith, fellowship, friendship & fun-Peggy had it all covered !Peggy had a great zest for life and lived her life for God and her family.She was so proud of all her family and enjoyed talking about them.We send our condolences and pray you will find comfort from all the happy memories of her life - a life well lived.She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

To Peggy's family, you have our deepest condolences on the passing of your dear mother and grandmother.We last saw Peggy when she came to the Germantown Alumni banquet in June with Jake.We had a terrific conversation with her that night.As always, she was jolly and happy, and very much interested in hearing about what was happening with our family.She and Jim made a great couple, so we are happy to know that they are now together again.May you be blessed by God and comforted by only happy memories of your many years together with her.Karen Carmickle and Mark Heistand
