I am just heartbroken. I became friends with Pat not long after she moved in beside my parents. I felt like I had known her forever and I truly just loved and adored her. She came into my life filling a huge void that was left after my grandmother had passed...and we began talking to each other daily via text messages or on Facebook or over the phone and in person a couple of times when I went over to visit her. When my own mama recently passed, she filled that void too. I actually talked to Pat more often than my own mama. I am lost now...when I think about sending her a message or checking up on her, I remember she is now no longer here. I am so sad to know she is gone, but a little at peace that she hopefully went in the manner she wanted to go, as she always told me she was ready to go now and wanted to pass in her sleep. Regardless, I want her family to know how much of an impact she made on my life, how much she meant to me, and how much I really did love her and miss her now so much. I will keep you all in my prayers as you have my upmost respect and sincere condolences. I hope one of you will take good care of KoKo as that always bothered her, wondering what would happen to KoKo once she passed. Pat, I miss you so much...but I hope you will fly high and free now!
