Kenneth "Gene" Lake

Lake, Kenneth Eugene "Gene", age 89 of Germantown passed away October 22, 2020.  He was born in Germantown, OH to the late Charles and Viola (Anthony) Lake, graduated from Germantown High School class of 1949, was a US Army Veteran and a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church in Camden.  After serving in the Army, Gene opened and operated Gene's Drive In for over 10 years.  Gene primarily made a living by farming, he was a German Township Trustee for 24 years and 32nd Mason. Gene is survived by his wife Clara Nell (Cook) Lake, his son Randy (Sonia) Lake, daughter Jana (Bob) Sears, grandchildren Lindsay (Brandon) Lavine, Lauren (Allen Moore) Sears, Megan (Brad) Clifton, Kristen (Troy Fox) Lake, great grandchildren Jacob Lavine, Collin Clifton, Ezra Lavine, and Connor Clifton as well as numerous extended friends and family who will miss him dearly.  Funeral Services will be held privately with burial being at Germantown Union Cemetery.

**NOTE REGARDING MEMORIAL TREES**  Please note if you order a memorial tree for the family there is no way to find out where the tree is planted or a photo of the memorial plaque.  We have tried to get this removed from our website but unable to do so at this time.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Gene Lake. I have many wonderful memories of him beginning with the many times Richard and I were at the drive-in to the years of working with him at the Township. He was truly a wonderful man.
