Schaeffer, Kathryn A., age 69 of Ellenton, FL, formerly of Germantown, OH passed away peacefully on September 8, 2020 in Brookville, OH. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Ralph and Betty (Carper) Saalfrank. Kathryn enjoyed boating, being on the water, and spending time with her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John in 2016 and her brother Danny Saalfrank. She is survived by her children Tanya Schaeffer, Tommy (Tami) Schaeffer, Johnny Schaeffer, and Jennifer (Johnathan) Schuck, grandchildren Kristyn Land, Noah, Gavin, Zeth Schaeffer, Garrett and Hunter Schuck, great grandchildren Kendyll, Aubrey, Lincoln Land, and Ariel Schaeffer, and grand dog Stiffler, her brother Ronnie (Connie) Saalfrank, sister Peggy Armey, sister-in-law Pam Saalfrank and numerous extended family and beloved friends. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 12:00 PM at the Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-12:00PM at the Arpp, Root and Carter Funeral Home, 29 N Main St. Germantown. OH 45327. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, those in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering, and follow the 6' social distancing rule. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Old Hippies of Germantown, 118 Frazer Drive Middletown, Ohio 45042.

Kathy and John spent many days and hours making sure that we had a Germantown Swim Team. She had so much patience with us and did lots of grunt work seeding events, making sure that we were correct. I enjoyed every moment with her. She was one in a million. We are grateful, Kathy!
