Order Flowers now for guaranteed delivery before Clyde's visitation.
Born April 16, 1936 to the late Paul and Beulah Gallaher, Clyde was a graduate of Ashland High School in Ashland, KY., where he was known as “Jack” to many. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a graduate of the University of Dayton, and a product engineer and manager at the Mound Laboratory until he retired in 1994.
In his retirement, he enjoyed a quiet but active life. Clyde was an avid outdoorsman, a 20-year cancer survivor, a handyman, a local businessman and, above all, a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. His greatest tribute is the large and loving family he leaves behind to cherish his memory.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna Gallaher; daughters Diane (Dave) Erich of Springboro, OH; Paige (Scott) Farmer of Miamisburg, OH; Ashley (Josh) Gallaher of Lexington, KY; and Nicole (Phil) Gallaher of Boise, ID. Other survivors include siblings Richard Gallaher of Dayton, OH, and Catherine Turpin of Austin, TX; granddaughters Kaitlyn and Jenna Erich, and Kari, Kristen and Valerie Farmer; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25th, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at SouthBrook Christian Church, 9095 Washington Church Rd. Miamisburg, OH 45342. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 at the church with interment at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Clyde’s name to The Fisher House Foundation, which provides lodging for families of hospitalized servicemen, servicewomen and veterans, at 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850 or Fisherhouse.org. Funeral arrangements by Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown, OH.
