Beth Karacia

Karacia, Beth Ellen, age 39 of Germantown passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on August 29, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born in Middletown, OH to John, Jr. and Patricia (Patterson) Karacia. Beth was a 2001 graduate of Valley View High School and worked as a paramedic for Dayton Children's Hospital. Beth loved her son, Tristan more than anything in the world and being his mother was her greatest honor. She was also a dedicated and well-respected paramedic for decades, first with Germantown Rescue Squad and then Dayton Children's. She knew how to make her tiny patients laugh and feel so comfortable and was the go-to caregiver for those patients needing extra special care. Beth had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. She was known to carry around multiple books with her at all times and was always studying and learning something new. Beth fiercely loved her family and friends and could always be counted on for a laugh. Her presence and beautiful smile lit up the room and she will be greatly missed by so many. Beth was preceded in death by her father, John Karacia, Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her son Tristan Karacia, her mother Pat Karacia, her brothers J (Stacey), Ben (Tiff) Karacia, her sister Jill Karacia, her nieces and nephews Sydney, Jack, Gracie, Benjamin, Ali, and Cate Karacia, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be private but the family will receive friends for a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM.

My sincere condolences to Beths son Tristan, and her family. I worked with Beth at MVH-Access & Transfer Center a few years ago. A poem entitled The Dash reads in-part. . .what matters most is how we live and love, and how we spend our dash. . . Beth spent her dash well with her infectious smile and heart of generosity, always ready to help someone in whatever way she could. May the love and peace of God comfort all of hearts in her passing.

Beth wasn't in my life very long but she had an extreme impact on my mom. We all loved Beth, and didn't think anything like this would ever happen, much less so suddenly. She will be forever remembered and missed. Rest in paradise.

Pat and family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I lost track of Beth through the years but remember her well as a sweet second grade student. You must be so proud of her accomplishments in life as a paramedic and mother. God bless all of you during this difficult time.
