Remembering you. It's hard to believe it's been five years! It feels like so many more! Time passes so quickly. Except when I'm remembering you. I can still recall your voice, your face, your smile, your laugh, and those beautiful twinkling blue eyes! I miss you everyday Mom. I guess I always will. I know your happier where you are now - and you would HATE all of this COVID19 crap! We all miss you, love you, and talk about you often! You are not forgotten here. Not as long as I have breath in my body. I was with you when you took your last breath. I'm sure I'll be thinking about you when I take mine. I long to see those beautiful baby blues! I love you Mom. Say hello to Dad, Jack, Willie, Jesse, Jerod and the rest for all of us. Until we meet again...

Mrs. Paulk was a ray of sunshine even on her worst and sickest days. She was always kind, polite, and loving to all of the veterans and staff here at the VA. She lived her life with dignity and an overwhelming amount of strength while here on earth. She is one of the strongest veterans I have ever met during my 5 years of USAF service and 7 years of VA employment. Aileen will be greatly missed by the Therapy Department here at the Dayton VA.
